Welcome at the Study Center of DIPLOMA University of Applied Sciences!

The privately-run Study Center ('Studienkolleg') of DIPLOMA University of Applied Sciences (Private Fachhochschule Nordhessen) was founded in 2011 in the picturesque medieval city of Bad Sooden-Allendorf in the center of Germany. The Study Center systematically prepares foreign students for academic studies in Germany.

In cooperation with a public college the Study Center of the DIPLOMA University of Applied Sciences provides the technical and linguistic foundations for an academic course at a German university of applied sciences or similar higher education institutions. Students from several countries make use of the preparatory courses of the Study Center for the mandatory assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung) and successive academic studies at graduate and post-graduate levels in Germany at Universities of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschulen).

Two different preparatory courses are available; one with a technical (TI-Kurs) the other with an economic (WW-Kurs) focus. The training usually lasts two semesters. Besides linguistic and culture-specific knowledge, technical knowledge is also taught. When students have passed their assessment test, they can start an academic study program in Germany. The passed exams in the technology and economics preparatory courses allow students to study at universities of applied sciences in Germany.

You are invited to apply for registration at our Study Center in Bad Sooden-Allendorf if you have passed your graduation outside the EEA (European Economic Area) and like to prepare for an university education in Germany together with various international students.

If you have no or just a little command of German, you will be enrolled in a "German for Beginners" course initially. After these first steps you will be offered advanced courses in German on various subsequent levels one after another of the required state-recognized Test of German as a Foreign Language (TesTDaF). The TestDaF is offered for all levels of command of German between A1 and C1/C2 levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The Study Center of the DIPLOMA University of Applied Sciences in Bad Sooden-Allendorf is able to ease and to smooth the way for foreign students to study at a German university.
